Quick Add extension

File an issue, rock, to-do, announcement or metric into Runway from whatever tab you are already on.

The best issues list is the one filled in during the week, not reconstructed on the day. Runway Quick Add is a browser extension that opens a panel beside whatever page you are on and files an item into Runway without you leaving it.

What it can add#

Each one is filed to a crew and an owner you pick in the panel, exactly as if you had typed it into the app.

Prefilled from the page#

Open an email and the panel already has the subject and the body in it. Anywhere else, it takes the page title and whatever text you have selected. Moving between emails updates the panel without reloading it.

Installing it#

Click the Runway icon in the toolbar to open the panel. In Firefox the button sits behind the puzzle-piece Extensions button until you pin it. Safari ships the extension inside a Mac app, so open the app once after installing and turn Runway Quick Add on in Safari > Settings > Extensions.

Signing in#

Sign in to Runway in a normal tab first. The panel reads the session from Runway's own origin and shows a sign-in prompt until there is one.

Without the extension#

The New menu in the app header does the same job from inside Runway, and every dashboard widget has an add button. The extension exists for the ninety percent of the week you are not looking at Runway.
