The agenda

The agenda is the list of gates a flight runs through, in order, each with a number of minutes. Runway ships a sensible one. Most teams change two or three things about it once and never touch it again.

Edit it at Settings → Organization → Meeting agenda. You need to be an admin.

What you can change#

Section name

Rename any gate. A name you choose beats both built-in vocabularies and survives a vocabulary switch.

Minutes

The time budget for that gate. The page totals it as you go, so you can see the meeting add up to ninety minutes.

Visible

Turn a gate off to keep its page and its data without putting it on the agenda.

Order

Drag a gate by its handle to move it.

One agenda, or one per crew#

The picker at the top of the page chooses what you are editing.

• Organization default: the agenda new crews start from, and the one any crew without its own follows. Saving it updates every crew that inherits it.
• A named crew: an override for that crew alone. A departmental crew that does not track rocks can hide that gate without affecting the leadership team.

Push to all crews removes every crew override and resets custom orders back to the organization default. It is the reset button, not a merge.

Gates of your own#

A custom gate is one you build: a name, a position on the agenda, a time budget, and content blocks you author yourself. Use it for the standing item your meeting has that EOS® does not describe: a safety moment, a compliance checklist, a rotating deep dive.

Content blocks#

Four kinds, stacked in any order:

Heading

A line that divides the gate up.

Text

A paragraph of your own copy. Formatting is written in Markdown.

Table

Named columns and a fixed number of rows. The crew fills the cells during the flight, and what they type is saved with that meeting.

Checklist

A list of items the crew ticks off during the flight. Ticks are saved per meeting, so next week starts clean.

Tables and checklists are the reason a custom gate is worth more than a line in a document: what the crew fills in is part of the flight record, and it shows up in Flight Logs with everything else.

Placing a custom gate#

The Position dropdown puts your gate before any built-in one. Nothing can be placed after the concluding gate.
